Little Girls Gone Wild...
This “little” piece of art was created by two norwegian students (Art Profession). Their art work represents a dildo fitted to children…

I´m a photographer, so I´m an artist myself. But I do believe in some limits in art.
And a “dildo for 8+” is one of my limits.
What is yours? Where are the Limits for Art itself?

The limits for art itself? How far can I go with this? I don’t really know where limits lie on, but I think it’s pretty much how we manage our freedom. Our freedom ends up where someone else’s freedom starts, and that’s all.
I think it’s not as unsuitable as you may consider it. I can imagine how awkward this must be for kids to see this, and their parents who now have to explain them what a dildo is. (in case they don’t know) But maybe that’s what these students thought about, they thought our society has changed and children are likely to find out about everything, so in this case, in sexuality, they thought a 10 year old girl must already know about masturbation.
I think the more we’re open minded to this, the faster we assimilate this as it really is now.
But isn´t the time going to fast nowadays?
Aren´t our kids growing up to fast? What about childhood? None has time for that any longer?
What about love, magic, romance? I believe that´s how kids should grow up, learning about how to love and to care, learning about feelings and responsabilities, not about phisical satisfactions.
There must be time for everything. And when one is 10-year old, it´s time to search for the answers about love and friendship, not for a clitoris.
Don´t you think?
yes, I agree, but the world is already strange, people… are strange now. Stereotypes have been modified, kids act like teenagers, teenagers act like adults, everybody is willing to grow up, to mature, to know everything what’s in this world. I no longer understand certain things that happen, but we’re actually changing, and promoting this dildo as art is not so shocking as we would see it if we were in another time.
I think we should just cave in and let other people act and do what they think it’s correct. As for us, just raise our children the way we think it’s right. (here I am acting like an adult, oh wait, I’m eighteen!)
This world is crazy, but I’m somewhat starting to tolerate it. I think you should do the same.
I agree with you about the fact that the world has changed, so people did. And few things seems to be shocking nowadays.
Still I don´t want to tolarate everything that happens around me. The world can be a better place. I hope so.. I don´t want to lose the hope!
haha, dette var i grunn litt latterlig.. men søt sak da
That – is terrible.
Imagine, that the artists think that their work doesn´t deserve critics!
I feel the way you think. But trying not to follow the way the world is going to is difficult, but what’s not difficult, right? Just live your life within your outlooks as the most important aim to chase, and if it helps… then great!
As for this dildo, just give a laugh yourself now
I agree with you, this is over the limits. If it was just an idea presented to adults, as some expression of how our children are being exposed to sexuality at such a young age…. But it sounds like they actually designed this as a product for kids and as such, it’s just inappropriate.
Absolutely agree with you, Anjolie! If it would be a sexual toy for grown-ups, you know, whatever. But when it is designed for kids.. If one will have first sexual experience in such a young age, what about the childhood?
That’s so disgusting! I am shocked that anyone would come up with such a thing, let alone market it.
