Life without limits…
Life maybe full of loss and pain,
but always free of fear…
Life where the sky is only an open door
to your own endless universe…
No stops and no doubts on the way,
faster than light, higher than haven…
and it´s your own hurting heart which is the key to your brightest happiness…
…uploaded while listening to Buena Vista Social Club “Chan Chan” and smoking… which is not a common thing for me…
Living once.. experiencing on the way…
😉
“and it´s your own hurting heart which is the key to your brightest happiness…” – That’s so true. It reflects by mistaken you get the brightest things in life…
those hard moments worth it all.
…gonna listen Chan Chan now.
And don’t smoke! 😀
Common! It´s just one little not common thing one can enjoy while listening to Chan Chan!
Ok…ok…ok…. don´t smoke, but listen to the song very loud and keep your eyes closed!
I did! I think by keeping my eyes closed I had a more relaxing moment.
I have this habit… I label everything; every song, memory.. with colors and store these things in the back seat of my mind. The point is… this Chan Chan is light brown. weird thing.
Have you ever had this feeling before?
Why I never reply straight out to the person but instead make a new comment? lol.
Okay, what I said made me remember having done this: http://weirdspirit.wordpress.com/2008/12/02/a-big-effort/
This is something I’d call an absolutely mess, confusing but beautiful. Chan Chan made me remember that..
Hmmm.. interesting… I think I label some songs with sensations and memories, yeah.. But only the songs that actually really get under the skin. For example “Shape of my heart” by Sting, “I don´t wanna miss a thing” by Aerosmith…
These songs became “soundtracks” to some parts of my life, so whe I listen to those songs I feel what I felt and I live through what I lived… again…
But about the colors… Chan Chan is light brown? Interesting… How do you pick up the colors??
Yeah, me too. It’s indiscriptible when a song changes your current bad mood to a pleasant one. And it’s unbearable when some events affect your precious songs, like if you’re having a bad time and this loved song comes up at that moment… wow.. I really care about that.
I don’t pick up colors, they just get stuck in my songs, memories… just like that. I have a color for everything actually; my house,my schools, my uni, even friends.
P.S: I LOVE “I don’t wanna miss a thing” by Aerosmith.
Nice black and whites. 🙂
I tried! The place was just amazing, so next tim I hope to take better pics.. Anyway.. these ones seems to be nice to me! 😉
Hi there 🙂 First, thank you for stopping by my blog! I appreciate that. More importantly, I love yours! And I love your photography. I think my favorite photo is the one in the middle. I wish it was blown up, giant, and on canvas in my living room. Can you even put a photo on canvas? Anyhoo, loves it!
Oh, that´s very nice to hear! You made my day with your comment! Thank you!
🙂
I like your photography, but I have to say that what attracted me to you is where you live. I grew up in Peru. We lived in Trujillio and then moved to Lima and lived in miraflores. This was many years ago and I still plan on returning some day. Speaking of Chan Chan I used to spend hours digging and scouting about the ruins of Chan Chan just outside of Trujillio. I would love to see more of your pictures from Peru and know more about your life down there. Have some ceviche and antecuchos for me please with lots of aji.
Thank you kokopedal
Hey! Interesting to know about you!
So You used to live here. Are You peruvian? Peru is not the best country to live in, but it is adictive. 🙂
I´ve lived here for 6 months so far. I didn´t manage to travel much yet, but I hope to do so in teh nearest future. I´ve heard Trujillo is a lovely place. Must see it!
I live in Lima, Callao right now. Well, in the beginning I was very shocked and all I could think about was moving to Miraflores (Looooove that place!), but with the time I learnt how to enjoy my Callao living. If you are any interested you can check out some other of my posts about some of things I do here with my husband.
Check out my blog from time to time: I promise that more photos are coming soon! And I hope they will bring you a little experience of Peru there wherever in the world you are!
I´m glad you found my blog! 🙂
I am American. When I was eight years old my parents took us kids (3) to Costa Rica for a year to do some mission work. (Baptist) Then we moved to Peru for them to continue their work. We lived there for almost seven years, mostly in Trujillo and later in Lima where I went to Roosevelt H.S. At first I missed things like DR Pepper and Hershey bars, but Peru was a different country then. I could ride my bicycle across town to spend the day at the beach with my friends. I could jump on a bus and go anywhere without fear. I don’t want to bore you or your readers with my whole story but suffice it to say that as a kid I got to do and see things that few people ever have the oppertunity to experience. Take the trip to Machu Pichu, don’t forget your camera. If you want to know more just let me know. I love to talk about my times in Peru.
I’m Glad I found your blog too.
Of course I´m interested! I love life-stories! When you get to experience something special, why not to share it, right?! So… 7 years in Peru is quite a plenty of time. Did you go to school here? You speak spanish? Do you miss Peru? What do you miss most?
I like it here, but I must admit that I found some things which I hate about this country. Well, let´s start with all street animals which are almoust dieing from hunger every single day… My husband is peruvian. And when I came here we organized one group which helps peruvian animals. You can find it on facebook, it´s called Ayuda a los Animales Peruanos! Help Peruvian Animals!
So yeah, that´s one of things we are trying to do here. We also took a trip to Comas (very poor area here in Lima), so now we also plan to help to the people from tha area.
Now we work a lot and don´t really have time to travel, but trust me as soon as we get a chance, you´ll find all my experiences pictured here in my blog! 🙂
By the way here you can find more of my photos:

These are not only pictures from Peru, but my experiences from Norway and Belarus as well! 🙂
You are always welcome here on my blog!
I still see Peru from a child’s eyes, when I close them I can return to those years and be young and free again. Most of my education was by correspondence except for the year we lived in Lima. I have forgotten some of my Spanish but living in San Diego now I do have several opportunities to practice. What I miss most?……My childhood LOL. the food, the freedom. I would stop and eat anything you could imagine from the corner street vendors I was able to do a lot of traveling, my parents made sure that us kids had a chance to see as much as possible. I spent whole summers in the Amazon and Urubamba basin. Long lazy days at the beaches, and numerous adventures hiking and digging in the ruins. I do remember the dirty ugliness, the wide spread poverty, and the empty gaze of hopelessness in so many eyes. My parents made sure of that too.
Enough for this chapter. You can also find me at redbubble or my site http://kokopedal.redbubble.com
