Do you need any more reasons to chose adoption over paying for a life creature?

If you still hasn´t made up your mind, you may look around… and recognize the eyes looking at you and asking “PLEASE, LET ME IN”. Once you do let him in, your life will be changed forever, true: you won´t ever feel lonely again, you won´t be betrayed, and won´t ever feel empty and used. Simply because their LOVE is FULFILLING, MOVING, INSPIRING…

So… LET THEM IN…

Best part of it was probably disturbing cold air and hypnotizing moody sky…

Well, more about the trip:
the whole meaning of this little adventure was to share.
It may come as a surprise, but the folk in Cuzco, Peru (one of the most admired touristed spots in the world) has hard time survivng, children have to work, and most of them do not even need to dream, since they know- their lives will be dedicated to selling wool stuff to white and spoiled tourists…
So if you packed your backpack ready, once you are there- MIND TO SHARE. It’s easy, and good, and you can do it, so why not?
From Viktoryian and Pepo:
Huuuuuuge THANK YOU to those who joined this trip if not in person, with their hearts and minds.
Synne Hathway, Shannon Rose, Rosa Elelna Gutierrez, Angie Romero, Kris Yalta, Roxana Flores Bazan and Elizabeth Pachaslaines! Ladies, YOU ROCK!!!

All educated people know: animals have got heart, brains and nerve system. They feel pain, happiness, loneliness, plesure, hunger just as we do. They understand all world´s languages, but they speak best the language of love. Let´s support our little brothers! Because without them the planet won´t be the same!

Here it comes: one more prove that it´s possible to make a world better, kinder and warmer.

MÁRATÓN DE MASCOTAS!

Pet´s Marathon in Lima, Peru. September, 13th 2009.

Pet´s Marathon in Lima, Peru. September, 13th 2009.

The event was organized by Paloma Pucci. For several hours one of Lima´s biggest parks became a playground for ideologists whose hearts were not spoiled by indifference. That fresh Sunday morning people of different ages and from different backgrounds came together with their beloved pets to give a warm embrace to less fortunate forgotten children of Peru… They run a marathon not for showing of their sports abilities, neither for the prize, but for the reason of sharing and caring: all the money raised during th event would help to cure, vaccine and feed some of those who need most- street animals in Lima.
Amazing how a good cause can unite strangers…

One sad true story…

A street puppy sick with sarna. By ViktoryiaN.

A street puppy sick with sarna. By ViktoryiaN.

This little dog was found in one of Callao streets and taken home by one kind peruvian man. The puppy had a hard form of sarna / mange and was already very weak. The man felt very sorry for the puppy, and was ready to fight for its life. Unfortunatly it was too late.
The dog died the next day after receiving his first injection with the medicine against sarna.
That´s right where a short story of the puppy´s life ends. And none will ever know where his story actually began.

Sarna / mange is not the only disease the street animals have to fight. But everything is possible to be cured if we only give our strong human hands to the little fighters!

This dog was found by Graciela on the local market. It has received 2 injections against sarna already, and he´s still alive. The pet needs his medicines and treatment, while other street dogs need vaccines. And we all can help them simply donating one sol to fight sarna and other animal´s diseases!
